The objective of this qualitative study is to become secondary school students’ perspectives on how they encounter and utilize English outside school. Eleven learners, six boys and five girls, at two secondary schools in the southern areas of Sweden have already been interviewed to the study. The findings of the study reveal that the secondary school students interviewed with this study have several chances to use English just outside of school. They play online online games, watch American Tv programs and films, read books in English, pay attention to music and journey. The learners are attached to English and realise the necessity of English in society as well as their future. They find English, when they encounter it just outside of school, of good value for their growth of English.
