Supplier’s related quality costs for the purchasing company represent a substantial part of the marketing value. Through proper charge of supply quality, the decrease in supplier quality costs could be directly changed into profits and also the quality of products and services could be enhanced. Supplier quality management (SQM) is recognized as a proactive approach within a buyer’s perspective to search for continuous supply quality improvement and collaborative ongoing alliance between buyers and suppliers. Therefore, it is necessary for that buyers to comprehend their circumstances for managing their suppliers, and thereby to find an increased method to rectify managerial deficiencies, if any. Furthermore, it’s imperative for that manufacturers to seek out for the good system to handle its suppliers through self-assessment approach. Consequently, progression of a web-based SQM self-assessment method is proposed and implemented during this research. In such a study, the SQM critical factors for Hong Kong based China manufacturing industries are firstly identified throughout the extensive literature review.
