In this project, a number of different clustering algorithms are described and their workings explained. They are compared to each other by implementing them on number of graphs with a known architecture.
Miscellaneous Engg Projects
According to the American Engineers' Council for Professional Development: The creative application of scientific principles to design or develop structures, machines, apparatus, or manufacturing processes, or works utilizing them singly or in combination; or to construct or operate the same with full cognizance of their design; or to forecast their behavior under specific operating conditions; all as respects an intended function, economics of operation and safety to life and property. This section is dedicated to miscellaneous engg projects, engineering project ideas, engg project topics, engg project sample, project list, engg project titles, final year engg projects for students.
Inductive Pulse Generation
Pulsed power generators are a key component in compact systems for generation of high-power microwaves (HPM). HPM generation by virtual cathode devices such as Vircators put high demands on the source. The rise time and the pulse length of the source voltage are two key issues in the generation of HPM radiation.
Case study of a contract system: considering pulp prices from 1996-2006
Södra Cell sells 1 900 000 ton pulp every year. Of this 490 000 tonne is sold with a contract system based on a pricing index called PIX NBSK. This index was started in 1996 and reflects the price of pulp from conferious forest. We study the NBSK PIX value of softwood from October 1996 to December 2006.People working in this branch known that there is strong periodicity in the prices.
Optimisation of a Graph Visualization Tool Vizz3D
Vizz3D is a graph visualization tool developed at Växjö University. It is used to visualize different aspects of software systems in 3D, based on the static analysis of source code. It can optionally use Java3D or OpenGL as a graphics library In order to visualize huge 3D structures performance is very important.
Road user charging for heavy goods vehicles – Implementation aspects
Several factors have influenced the recent development in charging of heavy goods vehicles in Europe. European legislation is changed and the political will is strong in many countries. The public awareness and acceptance is large for the need to put a price and a cost on the use of infrastructure. Environmental concerns are also actuating change in this direction.
First-principles calculations of long-range intermolecular dispersion forces
This work presents first-principles measurements of long-range intermolecular dispersion energies between two atoms or molecules as expressed in terms of the C6 dipole-dipole dispersion coefficients. In a series of publications, it has been shown by us that the complex linear polarization propagator method
Decentralized resource brokering for heterogeneous grid environments
The emergence of Grid computing infrastructures enables researchers to shareresources and collaborate in more efficient ways than before, despite belongingto different organizations and being geographically distributed. While the Gridcomputing paradigm offers new opportunities, it also gives rise to newdifficulties.
Human factors and wireless network applications: more bits and better bits
Imagine a taxi driver wanting to watch a football game while working. Events in the game cannot be predetermined, the driver’s available attentional resources vary and network connections change from non-existing to excellent, so it will be necessary to develop a viewing application that can adapt to circumstances.
Computation of Parameters in some Mathematical Models
In computational science it is common to describe dynamic systems by mathematical models in forms of differential or integral equations. These models may contain parameters that have to be computed for the model to be complete. A formula, named the modified Kaufman algorithm, is proposed also it takes the separability into consideration.
Design and Characterization of RF-Power LDMOS Transistors
In mobile communication new applications like wireless internet and mobile video have increased the demand of data-rates. Therefore, new more wideband systems are being implemented. Power amplifiers in the base-stations that simultaneously handle these wideband signals for many terminals (handhelds) need to be highly linear with a considerable band-width.
