Modeling is an approach for extracting quantitative values from PET. The signal from a reference region or from blood samples is used as reference. Since blood sampling is risky, this report presents an automated method based on MVW-PCA for using blood data from the images.
Miscellaneous Computing Projects
A computer is a programmable machine designed to sequentially and automatically carry out a sequence of arithmetic or logical operations. This section provides miscellaneous computing projects, computer project reports, computer project ideas, final year computer project reports, list of computer projects.
DREAM: Driving Reliability and Error Analysis Method
This thesis concerns traffic safety, and more specifically, the way in which the human factor influence the development of accidents and incidents. A theoretical framework for understanding the human factor in the complex traffic environment is introduced. Then a method for analysing the interaction between driver, vehicle and traffic environment in accidents/incidents is presented, called [...]
Performance Optimisation with a Real-Time Database
Embedded control systems are gaining an increasing amount of responsibility in today’s vehicles and industrial machines. As mechanical components are replaced by software, the complexity of control systems and the amount of data they are responsible for greatly increase. Generally there are two approaches to dealing with this huge amount of information, but both have [...]
Bidding in Combinatorial Auctions
This thesis concerns the interdisciplinary field of combinatorial auctions, combining the fields of computer science, optimization and economics. A combinatorial auction is an auction where many items are sold simultaneously and where bidders may submit indivisible combinatorial bids on groups of items. It is commonly believed that good solutions to the allocation problem can be [...]
A Patient Post-operative Function Survey System for the Tablet-PC
This project aims to develop a system for evaluating patient satisfaction with foot surgery. It is in collaboration with the Uppsala Academic hospital, the main user of it will be the patients and researchers. That means a smooth running system is not enough. We need to consider the human-computer interaction factors associated with helping patients [...]
Real Time Traffic Recognition
The rapid growth of Internet in size and complexity, and frequent emergence of new network applications have made it necessary to develop techniques that can monitor and control the traffic. Efficient and accurate recognition of traffic is the key to the management in real time. This thesis work accomplishes the performance evaluation and optimization of [...]
Analyzing the Work Process of a Web Content Management System
In this master thesis possible usability problems in the user interface and the work process of a Web Content Management System are identified and analyzed. The problem identification has been done with both analytical usability evaluation methods and observations of real users. Although most of the participants had little or no previous experience with the [...]
